"Bubba"

We are having a boy, Gavin Bradley and Gabe is calling him "Bubba" already!!

He let us find out immediately what he was within about a minute of us starting the sonogram. Right away Gabe was said baby when he saw it on the wall, then after we said it was his brother he was saying "Bubba"!

I have been saying that I can feel him moving some already and I saw why on the sonogram, he was doing flips in there!! He was all over the place moving his arms and legs. He even started doing hide and seek with Gabe, hiding his face. He had a very fast heartbeat about 161 beats per minute, our strong little man.

The girl even let us see him in 4D a little and he looks so much like Gabe already, he is absolutely precious!!!

Now we can start figuring out his nursery and getting everything ready for our little monkey!!!

Goofball!

These are just some silly pictures I have of Gabe from the last couple weeks, he is always acting like a goofball!!
This is one of Gabe's Easter baskets that Mommy usually puts Gabe's cars in but he likes to use it for other purposes. He wears it as a helmet and thinks it the funniest thing!!

That is just such a sweet picture of my little bear that I had to put it in this post!! What a smile!!

Gabe loves getting out of the house and going places!! As soon as you mention going somewhere he runs to the front door and waits for you to come let him out. If you open his car door he will start to try and climb in and usually can. Michael had the driver door open while we were trying to get ready to go last weekend and Gabe climbed right on up. He loves being in the driver seat and has to press every button and turn every knob.

Give Me Food!

Gabe has decided in the last couple weeks that he doesn't like being fed by Mommy and Daddy anymore, he wants to feed himself!! He has to have a fork now so he can stab the food and keep it on his fork. He pretty much always can get the food into his mouth while still on the fork.

Once Gabe finished eating his lunch he found some silly things to do with his fork!! Anytime we sit down to eat he loves it, I guess he knows that his the time he can talk to everyone about his day. He will sit there for half and hour while everyone eats and then talks and he has gotten were he does quite a bit of the talking.

Last night to go with dinner I made homemade mashed potatoes. Gabe started out using his fork but I guess he wasn't getting enough off the fork and Mommy's mashed potatoes were just too good, he had to use his hands!!! Needless to say the mashed potatoes then ended up all over his face and in his hair, good thing it was tubby time with Daddy right after dinner!!!

Family Update

We have been so busy remodeling Michael and I's new room at Gigi and Pop Pop's that I have not been keeping up with the blog well at all. The room is coming out great we have actually got to sleep in it the last 2 nights. It is a very big room that was once ( a very long time ago a garage) and it has its own full bathroom. With help from Alex and Mandy we have put down new tile, painted, crown molding and many other things. Michael and I have gotten our new dressers and still have to purchase our bed and bedside tables in a couple weeks. We got a king size bed now and it is so nice!!! We are also going to be able to have a couch and our tv as well so it will be like our own little studio apartment. Gigi and I are excited to have our sewing room back and we also put the treadmill in there so hopefully we can put it to use. Next big project is making the new nursery so that they will still have a guest room and Pop Pop will also have a nice office when we leave. I will explain more later where the nursery is going to be.
Speaking of the baby I am doing great!!! I have been sick only a few times but am really feeling great. Being so busy chasing Gabe around I have lost almost 20 lbs and I am not complaining!! I will be going for my ultrasound in a couple weeks and we are very excited to find out if we are having a Gavin or a Leila.

Enough about us let me tell you about our big man!! Gabe is growing up so fast and talking so much these days, pretty much everyday he is saying a new word. He says "night night", "baby", "juice" and "bye bye". He says lots more but those are the ones that are very clear. Of course he still says "mama", Pop Pop" and "dada" which is his favorite right now!! I also believe is he trying to say "Gigi" but it isn't as clear as most things. He also said "thanks" last night to Pop Pop for taking us out to dinner!!
When he wakes up in the morning he doesn't usually cry ever we jsut hear him kicking the wall or talking, sometimes he gets up and tries to open his door. Then when I go and open his door he doesn't run to me anymore to pick him up, he just starts playing! It is really cute but makes Mommy a little sad that he is growing up. He loves playing in his room more then anything and it usually doesn't matter if anyone is with him or not, which is great for Mommy. Hopefully he will keep up a lot of his independence once the baby comes too. He is also very insistent on having a fork whenever he is eating and he will try to pick his food up with his fork. He is actually pretty good at stabbing the food onto his fork and even gets it into his mouth sometimes. He loves to walk on his own everywhere but is very good about holding hands too. If Mommy and Daddy are both with him he insists on holding both our hands but always if someone else other then Daddy is with him and I he has to hold there hand too.
He is starting to get where he will help clean up his room, he can put the books on the shelf and put his blocks in the bag. Most of the other Mommy does because he doesn't really have a place everything goes, that's why we have put our order in with Papa to make him a toy box.

I am sure I am forgetting plenty of things but it is the best I can do for now. I will get some new pictures of Gabe up soon. Also I will try to get some pictures of my growing belly and of Michael and I's new room once we get some more done.

Our Beach Vacation!!

We love Boca Grande!!! Papa and Grammie have been going to Boca Grande since before I was born and because it is such a beautiful peaceful place we all continue to go there many years later. Papa and Grammie were nice enough to get a whole second condo for the middle weekend they were there so that all the family would have there own rooms (3 bedrooms each condo)!! We headed down Thursday night so our traveling would be done, Gabe did well in the car and once we got on the bridge to get on the island he was really excited. It was still daylight so we rolled his window down so he could see the water and he just kept saying "wow"!! All Gabe's aunts, uncles and cousins arrived Friday. Gabe has never been to the beach so we really weren't sure how he would be. He was nervous about the ocean at first but in about 10 minutes he was fine, he just wanted us to let go!!

That is the wonderful wagon that Papa bought for all the kids, it was very helpful in getting the kids and all their beach toys to the beach.

When the tide was low there was a pretty large area that the water was low enough Gabe could just stand up on his own, I still held onto the back of his bathing suit because the waves would have just knocked him over. He thought he was hot stuff being able to walk around in the ocean, he had lots of fun playing and splashing!

These were just some great pictures of Gabe and his family. It is always great when the whole family is together. Gabe didn't really understand the playing in the sand until he saw Charles doing it, then he was all about it. Isabella even came down one day for just a little bit, of course she had to show off her bathing suit.

Some how I got no pictures of the 3 of us but tons of Gabe with Daddy!!

Gabe loved spending time with his great-grandparents as well as his Gigi and Pop Pop.

When Pop Pop got there Sunday he had to build a sandcastle with the kids. Emma was his biggest helper!

I did get to do something with Gabe that I never do, hold him while he sleeps. He didn't keep the best nap schedule with everything going on and sometimes it just happened where ever he landed.

We had such a nice time on our first family vacation. Next year Michael will have vacation time and we have already decided we will be going down for a whole week!!
