1 Year Old!!

It is hard to believe we have a 1 year old but we do!!! Sorry it took so long to post this but Mommy had a root canal and has not been feeling well. Gabe has not gone for his 1 year check-up yet but I am estimating he is about 21-22 lbs. and maybe 32 inches tall. I will give you the real measurements when he gets to the doctor this week hopefully.

Gabe has many new things going on in this life it is crazy!!!

1. He now is taking his milk from a sippy cup not a bottle.
2. He not only walks, he runs!!!
3. He imitates things he sees on t.v or what we are doing.
4. He sits and reads his books.
5. He eats all big boy food at regular meals with Mommy and Daddy.
6. He dances anytime he hears music.
7. He sleeps in a big boy bed!!!

Yes, I said big boy bed!!!! We had been thinking about it with the new baby coming so that Gabe will have forgotten about the crib and not want to get in it with the baby.
We had gone to Orlando yesterday to visit Isabella, Charles and their Mommy and Daddy so we deiced to go ahead and stop at Ikea on the way home and buy it.
It it so cute, it is about 2 1/2 feet wide and 5 feet long with a head board, foot board and guard rail. It is only about 6-8 inches off the floor and will last for a long time!!We are going to see about staining it to match his darker wood furniture.
So we put it together last night and thought we would put him in it at bedtime and see what he does. So he was quiet for about 10 minutes then starting crying on and off for about 15 minutes and we were about to go get him and put him in his crib when he stopped!!! He slept all night long never waking up till 8 am this morning!!!! Michael and I put him down for his morning nap and he never cried just slept 2 hours, same thing happened for his afternoon nap!!! So needless to say we took his crib down and he already went to bed tonight without a peep.

That is our big boy taking his afternoon nap!!
He won't get out of his bad until we come in the room, which is so cute!! I am sure that he will be in and out whenever he pleases pretty soon but we will deal with that when it happens.
Our little boy is growing up so fast!!!

Gabe's 1st Birthday Party!!

Gabe's birthday party turned out really great and I think he had a lot of fun!!! I was pretty bummed because it rained so the kids couldn't go outside and play but it was still nice.
There were too many cute pictures of him opening his presents to just choose a couple.

He was actually pretty in to opening the presents once he saw there was good stuff in them. He got tons of great stuff a tricycle, trains, trucks, books, clothes, beach toys and tons of other cool stuff. He has been having a ball playing with all his new stuff.

The second I sat his cake down in front of him he stuck both hands in and didn't stop!!! He had a ball eating his cake and made quite a mess of himself.

Overall I think our little boy had a really great birthday!!!

Baby Adams #2 First Picture

Here is our beautiful new baby!!! Michael and Gabe came with Me to my ultrasound this morning. We had been telling Gabe he was going to see his new brother or sister this morning and he was very excited to look at the computer screen (I know he had no idea what he was looking at but it was still cute)!! When we got done and the lady gave us our picture we thought that the baby looked a lot bigger then Gabe did at that point. So I just checked Gabe's first picture and he was only 5 mm, if you noticed on this the new baby measures 11.5 mm. They are still saying that the due date is Feb. 1st!!
I also saw Dr. Granger today and I really liked him. He also has a 2 year old and a 10 month old so he REALLY can understand what I am going through.
So far I still have not been sick or anything, yahoo!!! He wants me to stop taking the Prilosec and only start taking Zantac if I start having a problem. Also gave me a prescription for my migraines if I get any. He did tell me that once I get to 39 weeks he will check me and if I m dilating and my cervix is thinning he would go ahead and induce if I wanted and he would not let me go past 41 weeks. I am sure I am forgetting things but that's what excitement does to ya!!!
We are more excited everyday for this baby!! I am really hoping that since everything is different from with Gabe that maybe this one is a girl!!! We will keep you posted on any changes and updates.

Please Pray!!

Our sweet little niece Isabella is a week old today and having to have surgery at noon. She has Hirschsprung's Disease, which basically means she has colon problems. We just pray that the surgery goes well and they can go ahead and complete it today, if not she will have to have surgery again in 6-7 months. Please pray for my brother Aaron and his wife Angela that they can find the strength to endure this and for Charles while he really doesn't understand what's going on. Pray for little Isabella to recover quickly and stay strong!!
We will be in Orlando all day and keep you posted.

ALL BOY!!!

Gabe is really all boy!!! He is loud, busy, ruff and dirty all the time!!! He has fallen off the deck about 5-6 times and gets right back up and keeps going. He got his foot eaten up with about 12 fire ant bits and never even noticed them. He fell out of his wagon from standing up which is about a 3 1/2 foot fall and got up and kept on playing. He skins his knee on the sidewalk out front and never even whines a little.
Here are some pictures of him out back. There is still a small area that has to have sod put down and the dogs have dug a hole to get cool dirt. Gabe fell right in it and just got right back out.

He then went back on the deck and got in the pool to wash all the dirt off himself. He thought that the mud he made on the side off the pool was pretty funny.

Even after all the playing and splashing in the pool he still hadn't washed all the dirt off his face!!!

Slip 'N Slide

While Charles was here on Saturday Michael wanted to get out the slip 'n slide he had bought a while ago and not used yet. I really wasn't sure what the boys would think about it but they actually liked it pretty well once Michael made them do it.
Sorry all these videos are separate the program I tried to download for making movies was only for Vista, so I am working on it still.

The next one is of Charles doing it, he was very hesitant. I said that if his Daddy were there he would have snatched him up and made him do it anyway, so that's exactly what Michael did. Charles loved it then, he was smiling all the way down. If you asked him if he wanted to do it again he would say no, but would then smile all the way down again!!!

The boys are so different but they always enjoy playing together!!

Baby Adams' Update

Well my appointment Monday was a joke all they did was tell me I was pregnant, news I was already very aware of. They had only scheduled me as a new patient not as a pregnant one so I had to go back this morning. They really didn't do anything and I still haven't seen the doctor yet. My due date is tentatively Feb. 1, 2009 unless my sonogram says otherwise. I also had blood work done which is always fun but the girl made it relatively painless which was nice .
My next appointment when I will have my sonogram and actually meet with Dr. Granger is June 17th at 9 a.m.
After Gabe's reaction to Isabella I am very excited for him to have a baby brother or sister (I am hoping for sister)!! He was so excited to see her and today at the doctor he was saying baby!!
So far I have had no moring sickness and am really not even that tired, so it has been nothing like my prior pregnancy.
I will keep you posted as to any news!! Keep praying for the baby and I.

Isabella Kaylynn

Well Isabella Kaylynn Hanke is here!! She arrived June 5, 2008 @5:13 a.m. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 13 ozs. and was 20 inches long. She is so beautiful and we can't wait to get to hold her longer and play with her.
Gabe and I rode over with Gigi and Pop Pop yesterday morning but Gabe wasn't aloud to come back. We were about to leave when they took Isabella to the nursery for a bath. The windows for the nursery are in the hallway were Gabe was aloud so he got to see her. Aunt Angela brought her up to the window and Gabe was smiling, squealing and laughing. He was even trying to kiss her through the glass, it was so adorable. He can't wait for his new cousin to come home so he can give her kisses.
We love you sweet baby girl!!!
