Brush 'em, brush 'em, brush 'em!!

Gabe has had his two bottom teeth for a month or so now, so I figured he should go ahead and start brushing them. So Mommy got him an Elmo toothbrush and Little Einstein's toothpaste that was safe for him if he swallows it.

He actually did much better then I thought he would with it. He let me brush them at first and then he did it himself. Of course him doing it was him just sucking on the toothbrush but he loved it!! It was really cute, he looked like such a big boy.

Slow down...

Gabe never stops moving... well that's being a little dramatic. OK, he is a great baby but just very busy and no matter how many toys he has he would rather explore the house most of the time.
These are just some silly pictures of my buddy playing under the highchair. That highchair was his great grandpa's when he was a baby, his great-great grandfather built it. He doesn't actually use this highchair because it has nothing between the crotch and Gabe just slides down, although Emma and Charles get use out of it when they are over.

Some good news is I took Gabe to St. Joseph's on Friday for his appointment with the craniofacial team. We found out that it is nothing to be concerned about, it is called a mytopic (not sure about correct spelling) ridge. It is just were his skull grew together and it is extra bone tissue that protruded out. If we were to want to have it shaved down the doctor said we would have to wait till he was 4 or 5, the skull is too soft and it is too dangerous till then. It doesn't bother Michael and I enough to put him through surgery so unless he decides he doesn't like it when he gets bigger it will stay. It doesn't have the ability to grow so I am sure the older he gets the less noticeable it will be.

Gabe usually eats his dinner before Michael and I but when ours is ready he will not let us get away from not giving him some too.
He loves eating big people food as soon as his top 2 teeth come in I really won't worry about giving him anything and everything we eat.
Which it will be any day now when those teeth come in, this morning I saw the white corner of his right top tooth!!!
He will be so cute with his 4 chompers.

Climber

I was busy cleaning up the kitchen the other day and Gabe was playing nicely on his mat.
I walked over just to check on him because he was awfully quite
and this is what he was doing...

I haven't seen him try it again but I also haven't left him and hippo alone together since.

I'm a Maniac

7 months old

I know that I keep saying it every month but I really can't believe how fast my lil' man is growing up. When I look at old pictures of him I already can hardly remember him that way because I am so used to my busy boy!!

Since Gabe doesn't go back to his doctor till his 9 month visit we weighed and measured him ourselves tonight, he weighs about 19 lbs and is 28 1/2 inches tall. I can not believe he grew 2 inches in the last month. If there was one thing we knew though is that he would be tall!!!
Ever since Christmas night when he learned how to stand up that's all he wants to do now, he pulls up on everything all day long. Also instead on slamming down onto the back of his head when he wanted to get down now he has learned how to sit down onto his butt or this past week he has been letting go with one hand and bending over then going into crawling position.

Oh and yes that is him in a big boy car seat!!!
He is nearly 20 lbs and doing what most 9-10 month old aren't even doing so we moved him out of the old car seat. He was so miserable laying down in the old one he is just too big of a boy. Oh yea and mommy was sick of listening to a screaming baby everywhere we drove.
He is now much happier in his new seat, no more fussing!!!

Gabe has also had 2 sleepovers with his Gigi and Pop Pop and for a while they will be the only ones keeping him overnight. They live very close and spend the most time with him besides Daddy and I, he knows them REALLY well!! The first one went ok, he did wake up in the middle of the night crying but the next time he slept 12 hours just like at home.

Gabe has also really started talking a lot more lately and if he's not talking he is spitting or just making any kind of noise. He wants to be heard!!! He loves spitting though now thanks to his Uncle Aaron, he will have the entire top half of his shirt soaked and bubbles covering his chin!
He also just yesterday started saying Mama and it is adorable.
I know that there are a million other things I am forgetting, I will keep you up to date though.

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

This past Saturday was Michael's 27th birthday, so me being the wonderful wife I am I planned a party for him. Gigi, Pop Pop, Alex, Mandy, Emma, Ethan, Grammie, Papa, Cailey, Claeb, Nanny and Meme all came over for a cookout. We had hamburgers, hot dogs and Emma's favorite cupcakes.

He got some goods gifts a baseball card set that he collects, a new outfit and lots of cash!!
Much like Christmas Gabe very much enjoyed playing with the boxes and paper, now he really likes to eat it.

After the party Gigi, Pop, Alex, Mandy and the kids all went to Orlando to see Aaron, Angela and Charles. We went shopping, had dinner and went back to their house to hang out we had such a wonderful time like always. We really wished they lived in Lakeland so we could have fun like that every weekend.

Our kitty cat

OK, not really our kitty cat. We have tons of cats in our neighborhood but we have this white one that has been sticking around our house a lot recently. Every time we get near her she meows at us and has been now for weeks. About a week ago I told Michael I thought she looked pregnant and Gigi and Pop Pop confirmed my suspicion when they were over Friday night. So now the mommy in me really started feeling bad for her because I am guessing she is hungry or something and that's why she is always meowing at us. I really am not sure that she belongs to anyone because I only see her at our house.

So I have started giving her milk and tuna, she eats it all right away!! I think I am going to put her out a blankie to sleep on and it would be nice for her to have her kittens on.
I may be taking on a little more responsibility for this cat than I really want but I just feel really bad for her.

Fun times with my boy

Gabe just looked so adorable in this outfit I wanted to take his picture but he didn't want to make that easy for Mommy at all. I just went with it and got a lot of great pictures of him, he's just so adorable!!
I even got this toothie shot, look at those chompers!!!

Random Goodness

I have lots of cute pics and videos that I just had to share...

My son has turned into a very busy man.. he is constantly pulling up on the couch and ottomans and climbing under and into anything he can find. His toys are now no longer as interesting because he is always on the go!!

Michael finally let Gabe have a baseball card and he was super excited!!!! He chewed on it for like 15 minutes and got really mad when Daddy threw it away. I know that is gross, Gabe getting licked in the face by Bruiser but happens. If Gabe is low enough Bruiser is in his face and it doesn't bother Gabe one bit. Now Gabe has gotten where he puts his arm around Bruiser when he comes up. It really looks cute, like they are buddies!!!

This week Michael has had some late nights with I-4 being shut down and everything and Pop Pop was in Jacksonville all week for a big job so Gigi and us have been hanging out. Since we were over late Gabe went ahead and took his tubby and had so much fun. It is like a right of passage since me and my brothers all took tubbies in there when we were babies and all the cousins have taken tubbies in there too. It really is easier then taking it in the real tub because there is no leaning over for Mommy and the sink is small that it just holds them up perfectly!!

Gigi, Gabe and I went over to Orlando last night to find out the sex of the new baby (it's a girl, Isabella Kaylynn!!!) Charles and Gabe had the best time playing together and watched a little Toy Story 2 together.

I hope all is well so far this new year for everyone. I would ask that everyone continue to pray for Gabe and our appointment Jan. 25 to St. Joseph's to check out the ridge on his forehead. Thanks everyone who already has been praying, love you all!!!

Happy New Year's!

Well I actually only have one picture from New Year's and it was just of Gabe earlier that day doing what he does best now...

I do have some videos though however... Grammie and Papa had everyone over for New Year's Eve for fondue and lots of other goodies. All the kids once again had so much fun playing together and getting into trouble. My husband and brothers also had fun getting to talk to each other about baseball, movies and who knows what else.

Aunt Angela and Uncle Aaron brought Charles' tunnel that he got for Christmas and I never thought Gabe would crawl through it but he did, all the way!!! I believe the tunnel is 6-7 feet long but he did it, more than once even. If you want to see it you will have to check out Aunt Angela's blog, she got pictures.

We didn't stay till midnight, Gabe could have probably made it but Mommy and Daddy couldn't!! Gabe had a nice time snuggling with his Papa and did finally fall asleep on him.

On New Year's Day we all went over to Gigi and Pop Pop's for lunch. They say how you spend your New Year's Day is how you will spend the rest of the year, so I am glad we spent it with our family!!
