Christmas Day!

After opening presents at our house Gigi and Pop Pop took Gabe back to their house for a nap while Michael and I got ready. When we got there they wanted to go ahead and give Michael and I one of our presents, it was a video camera!!! Pop Pop of course fixed Pop Pop Toast Toast (french toast), which Gabe thoroughly enjoyed.

Then Uncle Alex, Aunt Mandy and the kids came over and we opened presents from Gigi and Pop Pop, lots and lots as Emma would say!! Gabe got some cute clothes, books, a standing musical playground and his favorite the TMX extra special edition!!!

I actually have no pictures from Christmas Day because I was so busy using our new video camera.

At about 11:30 everyone else starting showing up Gigi's, Grammie, Papa, Uncle Andy, Aunt Angel, the kids, Aunt Angela, Uncle Aaron and Charles. We all ate lunch then opened the rest of the presents. Michael and I got a surround sound system from Grammie and Papa, Michael got a 2007 Bowman Chrome set, which he collects from Gigi and Pop Pop. My favorite present from Gigi and Pop Pop was a necklace that says Mother and Daughter. Gabe got tons more cool things and I am not even going to begin to list everything else!!!

Overall we had a wonderful Christmas!!!! It was so fun to have our own family this year, Gabe enjoyed himself and tried to open presents. Next year we will really be in for it!!

Christmas Photos

We had lots of photos taken professionally so Christmas so I thought I would post some of the best for all to see.

These are the ones that Gigi had done, she bought all the kids their matching outfits and we went the day after Thanksgiving to have these done. We couldn't believe how good all the kids did. I really couldn't believe Gabe, this was the first time he had his picture done professionally and he was a champ (he only got better with each sitting)!!

When I went to get the pj pics done I had to wake him up from his nap and he screamed the whole way there. I figured they were going to be horrible but he surprised me !!
The pj's he's wearing are the ones Gigi bought last year for Emma and she wore for Christmas. Gigi also found more sizes for the other kids to have some also.

What a lovely family we are...hahaha. I love these pictures sooo much!!!!

Christmas Morning at Home!

I think Michael and I explained to Gabe to much, how he was going to be getting presents when he got up. I say this because at 4:15 in the morning Gabe was awake playing in his crib. We left him in there for about 30 mins thinking maybe he would fall back asleep but no luck. So Michael went in and changed his diaper while he was talking and laughing on the changing table. We brought him in bed with us and he tried to play, he did fall back asleep for about an hour finally but woke back up and was ready for Christmas!!!

Gabe was such a happy baby and wanted to help Daddy open his baseball cards he got in his stocking.
When I was a kid Grammie and Papa would come over and watch us kids open our presents so keeping up with tradition Gigi and Pop Pop came over at 6:30 when we finally got out of bed.
Gabe really didn't know what to do with his stocking although he did like the Elmo remote that was in it.
From Mommy and Daddy he also got a Walk-n-Ride Hippo that also gobbles up blocks when you run over them. A Hokey Pokey Elmo, Sing Along Musical Stage and some clothes and shoes.
He really liked eating the wrapping paper more then anything!! He did want to get on the hippo and try to pull up behind it too.

I have to say that the stage is his favorite thing because he can see himself in the mirror and he loves that!! It is what he pulled himself up to standing on Christmas night.

Yes, Gabe had a costume change because he was too hot in his other pj's!!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve Michael's mom and grandparents come over for dinner and presents at our house. This year we had a roast instead of turkey, since I knew we would all be having that the next day for Christmas. Gabe enjoyed the mashed potatoes and rolls.

Gabe got lots of presents from his Meme, a Pooh Bear that squeaks, blocks, a barking puppy and lots more toys and clothes. Nanny and Papa got him an enormous bull bog, that a believe is as big as Foxy (as well as other toys and clothes)!!!

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Gabe was very thankful for all his toys. He did a pretty good job unwrapping, he was just more interested in the paper than the toys!!

At my house growing up we had a tradition of getting a Night Before Christmas present (NBC), which was always a new pair of pj's. It was nice to have since we have pictures taken in our pj's all morning while we open presents. We decided that, that was a tradition we wanted to carry on.

Here is Gabe opening his and wearing his!!

Half a year old!!

I can't believe how big my little boy is getting!!

Between Christmas and me being sick I have gotten behind on posting, sorry for those who have been asking me!!

Daddy and I took Gabe to the doctor on Wed. for his 6 month visit. He weighed in at 17 lbs. 4 ozs. (45%) and 26 1/2 inches tall (50%). I also finally asked the doctor about the lump that Gabe has had on his forehead since he was born. It used to not show that much but it is regularly visible, I never asked because we didn't think anything of it. She examined it and said that he has a ridge and wants us to get it further examined by a doctor at St. Joseph's in Tampa. She said that sometimes they do nothing for it and other times they do surgery to remove it. We have an appointment to go on Jan. 25th for him to meet with a doctor and physical therapist. Please pray that my baby boy will be okay.

Gabe is now crawling up on his hands and knees and moving really fast, he got that down on Sunday. Then on Christmas Eve morning we put him down for a nap and heard him in there laughing so we went in and he was pulled up on his knees, chewing on the crib rails.

I did not expect to already have to move his crib down!!
Then on Christmas night Gabe decided to pull up all the way, standing on his feet. He did it a second time that night and Aunt Mandy got it on video.

When we told Dr. Ghayal, she could not believe that she said Gabe was way ahead with his development, which on course made Michael and I feel wonderful!!

(Sorry about the end of the video, Aunt Mandy couldn't forget how to turn off our new video camera. And Mommy forgot to edit it.)
Also in Gabe news he is completely on bottles now and that is wonderful for Mommy!! He has moved to stage 2 foods and loves eating like a big boy. He plays independently but does loves when Mommy plays with him. He is still putting himself to sleep and that is the best thing he ever did, as far as Mommy is concerned! His bottom two teeth are through and we are waiting for the top ones anytime now.

Our little man is growing up right before our eyes!!!

Here comes Santa Clause...

We took Gabe to see Santa on Monday at the Mall and he loved it. Even though it did cost $20 bucks to buy a CD with one picture on it (rip off)!! I am sure I will do the same thing every year because I just have to have the picture whether or not it's good or bad! Gabe loved Santa though after they took the picture he just sat there while we paid, trying to pull Santa's beard.

Oh, the lights

Gabe loves looking at the bright Christmas lights so on Sunday night when it was really cold we took him down to Munn Park to see all the lights in the park. Pop Pop bought him this hilarious hat from Old Navy and I love putting him in it when it's good and cold. You can also snap the ear flaps up when it's not as cold. We get a lot of comments about it when he has it on!!
He also had his Dear Santa list shirt on that Grammie and Papa bought him.

My Boy!!

I have a bunch a random pictures of Gabe I just had to post, so here goes.
For those that don't know Gabe is a thumb sucker which I think is horribly gross but it is better than when he was just putting his whole hand in his mouth. He does only do it when he gets sleepy though, it's not all the time thank goodness!!

This pictures I thought was adorable, it's kind of hazy looking (it made him look angelic).Gabe is always busy, when I try to hold him on the couch he just wants to climb up my chest and see what he can see.

His legs are so strong it really hurts when he's climbing.
These pictures are just of him playing on the couch with me in his diaper, which he loves doing.

He really loves having his picture taken, he always puts a smile on his face!!

Bite You!!

Well after 2 1/2 months of drooling and cranky days and nights... both of Gabe's bottom teeth broke through today. While him and I were having lunch with Gigi today she started to rub his gums because he was cranky and she felt them. As soon as they get through enough to see and he will let me I will get a picture!! My boy is growing up so fast!!

On the Move

Gabe has not completely mastered the art of crawling but he is getting where he wants to go.

In these pictures he started out way over on his blanket and within about 2 minutes he was this far off it (about 6-7 feet away). He even had 2 toys he had brought with him! He does get up on his hands and knees and rocks but when he wants to move he just shoves himself with his feet. It is working pretty well for him right now, I am pretty sure that he will really be crawling by Christmas though!!

Sweetest Thing You've Ever Seen

Gabe fell asleep on the way home from lunch with Gigi, Ceci and Susan and he just
looked so stinkin' cute when I opened the car door.

I don't think it gets any sweeter than that!!

Relax already!!

Michael put Gabe in his swing and strapped him in, put him in front of the t.v and put his movie on so we could eat dinner. Well when we came out of the kitchen this is what we found.

Our kid is so hyper that he couldn't lay back, relax and enjoy his show. Thank the Lord Michael had strapped him in!!! This is what he does in his car seat as well, although he can't sit up nearly that much because he is strapped in tight, but he sure tries too. He is looking forward to the day that he can get a big boy car seat, so he can sit straight up and see outside.
