Playin' with Pop Pop

Besides Michael and I, Pop Pop is Gabe's favorite person. He can always get Gabe to laugh and they have so much fun together.

5 month old

It is crazy to think that we have a 5 month old before we know it we will be planning his 1st birthday party!!!

I don't have any new weight and height info on Gabe since he won't return to the doctor till after Christmas for his 6 month check-up and shots. Although I do have lots of info on Gabe's busy life...

He has now had all the stage 1 fruits and veggies we can find and loves nearly everything, what he isn't crazy about we just mix with cereal and it's all good. He also loves drinking juice and even more just plain water out of his sippy cup that he can hold mostly be himself. He eats food twice a day and by 6 months he should be eating 3 meals a day the doctor says. He has also gotten down to 2 naps a day maybe 3 on bad days and yes we have them (teething is so much fun!). His favorite thing to do is play on the floor and does well entertaining himself for a while. In the past week he has starting scooting himself around really well to get to what he wants. Actually this morning he was on his blanket and while Michael and I were looking at the Christmas pictures of the 4 kids together he scooted himself about 5 feet over to a box of open Christmas lights.

From where we were sitting we almost couldn't see him, I guess that is what we have to look forward too.
Gabe also is working on his sitting up and is doing pretty well, I still but the Boppy behind him so he doesn't bust his head. He has gotten strong enough so when he leans over to get his toes and can now sit back up.

Gabe is just a very busy boy, for you that see him often you know what I mean. HE NEVER STOPS MOVING!!! When he starts crawling, which will probably be in a couple weeks I am really going to have my work cut out for me.

I had to post this picture of my boys because it was just adorable. I couldn't believe Michael got Gabe to hold the bat just like he was going to swing it.

In other news this past week has been very busy in the Adams' Family Home on Wednesday Gabe and I babysat cousin Charles and had a wonderful time, somehow I didn't get a single pictures of the boys together. We went to Aunt Mandy's and played with Emma and Ethan, they all have so much fun playing together.

For Thanksgiving we went to Meme, Nanny and Papa's house (Michael's Mom and grandparents) and had a nice time with everyone.

Then on Friday the Hanke/Adams' women went and took all 4 kids to get their pictures taken for Christmas. The pictures turned out amazing, but you can't see them till Christmas!!! Then Gigi and Pop Pop grilled out steaks and chicken for dinner and we all hung out. It is great watching the kids all play together, they have the best time.

Then this morning while Uncle Aaron, Aunt Angela and Charles were still in town we went and had breakfast at Gigi's and Pop Pop's, then went to Dobbins Park. Once again Gabe was not amused even though Charles had a blast.

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Well today is my birthday and I am 23 years old!!!
Last night Michael and Gabe gave me the presents they got me. They gave me gift cards to my favorite stores so I could go shopping for some new clothes, since they know that is my favorite thing to do.
Gabe and I will go do that at the mall after lunch with Grammie and Papa and I am sure we will be dong something with my folks tonight. Michael and I will be going to Kobe, my favorite restaurant this weekend to celebrate as well.

Mommy's Lil' Shopping Buddy

Shopping with a 5 month old ain't easy!! Gabe no longer likes sitting in his car seat at all, he doesn't want to lay back. So now putting his car seat in a shopping cart is out of the question. So he likes sitting in his stroller but if I am shopping alone with him I can't push the stroller and a shopping cart. Well the other day I decided I would just try putting him in the shopping cart seat and he did great!

As soon as I sat him down he grabbed the bar in front of him and rode all around the store.

We do have a shopping cart cover so it is a little more comfy for him,

I just have to remember to get it out of Daddy's truck.

Now shopping with Mommy will be a little easier and lots more fun!!

Paper Boy

Michael always likes to get a Sunday newspaper so he can look at the sales papers and I can clip coupons.

We then found that Gabe likes to read the sale papers as well.

Then when he saw us watching him he thought it was really funny.

Once he finished reading them he tore them all to shreds and thought he was just hilarious!

Messy Boy

Gabe is really enjoying eating big boy food and loves to help Mommy feed him.

The messier he gets the more fun he has eating and he tries hard to get messy!!

At the Park

Well Michael and I decided to take Gabe to the park, Peterson Park that is.

The only problem was we waited to long after he had gotten up to get there. I still had to get ready and then we went to breakfast, so by the time we got to the park Gabe was ready for a nap.

He never fussed but he never smiled!

He made it very clear that he wanted to be in bed, not at the park.

Next time Daddy and I will get him there right after his nap.

Mommy and her Baby!!

Every morning when I go to get Gabe he will be talking in his crib and when I open the door I always say, "Where's my Baby?" and he gets silent. When I get to the crib he has a huge smile on his face and starts kicking his legs and moving his arms. It is just the sweetest thing that he is so excited to see me!!

Baby Ethan's Here!!

Well the newest member of the Hanke/Adam's clan has arrived, Ethan Alexander!!

Weighing in at 8 lbs. 4 ozs. and 21 1/4 inches long. He arrived Sunday night at 6:06 pm.

Once Ethan's sissy is feeling better

we are all going to get together so Emma, Gabe and Ethan can all play!!

Happy Halloween

As you can see Gabe was a turtle for Halloween and he was adorable!!!
He actually got to wear his costume a lot more than you would think because

his cousin Charles' 1st birthday party was last Saturday and all the kids dressed up.

Then on Halloween he dressed up again and set on the porch with Mommy and Daddy

to pass out the candy to all the trick-or-treaters.

He had a lot of fun watching all the kids!!

He really didn't even mind the costume at all, except he kept kicking the booties off.

All in all it was a great first Halloween!!!

Sippy Cup

Gabe has now started drinking juice and loves his sippy cup. Right away he grabbed for it and wanted to hold it. He holds it and puts it up to his mouth and tips it up perfectly. I couldn't believe he knew exactly what to do with it.
