8 months

Well another month has passed and my son has only gotten cuter and smarter!!!

This post will have tons of pictures because Gabe loves the camera so I constantly have great pictures of him.

Since he doesn't go back to the doctor for another month we did our own measurements... he weighs at least 19 lbs and was 29 in tall. He is constantly growing and learning new things.

We had to buy him new shoes this week and you will never believe what size he is wearing...a 4!!

I guess he is going to have big feet like Mommy and Daddy.

It is really unreal how good he has gotten at standing and cruising along all the furniture and his toys. He even walks behind his hippo that we got him for Christmas. He has let go a couple times and of course falls down but he does continue to try. This morning I was sitting on the floor with him and he used my knee to help him up and then stood on his own for about 3 seconds, I was so proud of him!!

He now says Mama and Dada and it is so cute!!!! He does say Mama a lot more which of course makes me feel great, Daddy works with him most nights when he's in the tubby. He likes to just mouth Dada and Mama a lot, like he is teasing us!!!

He now has his middle 4 teeth, both 2 top and 2 bottom.

The tops did not come through at the same time like the bottom ones. One came through the day of the Superbowl and the other finally came through Tuesday this week and the time in between has been ruff. He wasn't sleeping good at night and was very fussy, that tooth was a bad one.

This video is from last night and he was in such a good mood!! His normal bedtime is 7:30 but he actually stayed up till 8:30 because he was playing so nice.

Also he still puts himself to bed, in terms of all we do is lay him in his bed. He usually falls asleep without even a peep, never cries just plays for a minute sometimes in his bed. I pray that I am lucky enough to have such a good sleeper next time too!!!

He is a really happy little boy and so fun to be around!!! He plays very well independently which is so nice because I can still do things around the house and don't have to constantly be on the floor with him when he's awake. He loves yelling and being loud and has also learned how to growl. It is really hilarious because he also gets a really serious look on his face when he does it too, he is such a silly boy!!!


I can't ever get a good video of him walking because when he sees me filming him he gets down and crawls over trying to get the camera. He really does it well and can walk all the way down the hallway behind his hippo.

I have gone completely to the sippy cups with straws because the other kind he would just chew on and then be covered in juice. He likes the big boy straw and he also has the ones without the handles because he just holds one handle and beats it in the table. He LOVES eating although you can't tell, he's not a chubby baby at all!!! If someone has food Gabe wants it and he whines until he gets it!! His favorite thing to do is feed himself and that is fine with me because he will sit in his highchair for 20 minutes eating snack and drinking juice.

What a big kid he is becoming!!!
