Between Christmas and me being sick I have gotten behind on posting, sorry for those who have been asking me!!
Daddy and I took Gabe to the doctor on Wed. for his 6 month visit. He weighed in at 17 lbs. 4 ozs. (45%) and 26 1/2 inches tall (50%). I also finally asked the doctor about the lump that Gabe has had on his forehead since he was born. It used to not show that much but it is regularly visible, I never asked because we didn't think anything of it. She examined it and said that he has a ridge and wants us to get it further examined by a doctor at St. Joseph's in Tampa. She said that sometimes they do nothing for it and other times they do surgery to remove it. We have an appointment to go on Jan. 25th for him to meet with a doctor and physical therapist. Please pray that my baby boy will be okay.
Gabe is now crawling up on his hands and knees and moving really fast, he got that down on Sunday. Then on Christmas Eve morning we put him down for a nap and heard him in there laughing so we went in and he was pulled up on his knees, chewing on the crib rails.
I did not expect to already have to move his crib down!!
Then on Christmas night Gabe decided to pull up all the way, standing on his feet. He did it a second time that night and Aunt Mandy got it on video.
When we told Dr. Ghayal, she could not believe that she said Gabe was way ahead with his development, which on course made Michael and I feel wonderful!!
(Sorry about the end of the video, Aunt Mandy couldn't forget how to turn off our new video camera. And Mommy forgot to edit it.)
Also in Gabe news he is completely on bottles now and that is wonderful for Mommy!! He has moved to stage 2 foods and loves eating like a big boy. He plays independently but does loves when Mommy plays with him. He is still putting himself to sleep and that is the best thing he ever did, as far as Mommy is concerned! His bottom two teeth are through and we are waiting for the top ones anytime now.
